Description: BPPV-type vertigo is a condition that affects 4% of the population. Every year, 1.4% of the population visits the Emergency Room due to BPPV attacks. According to the literature, the misdiagnosis rate of Vertigo in the Emergency Room is a whopping 81%. Patients typically visit the hospital seven times and finding a cure takes 70 months. Strategic Innovative Initiatives LLC has developed an AI-assisted robotic diagnosis and treatment chair which has reduced the diagnosis and treatment time to just 20 minutes with an official clinical success rate of 94%. Due to its ability to reduce wasted time and resources and its positive social impact, the company received a sustainability award in 2023.

Description: Strategic Innovative Initiatives LLC (Stratejik Yenilikci Girisimler) has developed a technology that allows for the fabrication of giant-sized parabolic-shaped solar reflectors directly in the field. This development is a long-awaited solution for reducing the cost of solar field construction, which currently contributes to 52% of the CAPEX of utility-sized solar power generators. By enabling solar field construction with minimal human involvement and the construction of giant-sized solar collectors in a desert environment with zero CO2 emissions, this technology is expected to have a significant impact on desalination, hydrogen generation, carbon capture, and utility-sized power generation if it is funded. Description: Maritime activities currently contribute nearly 4% of all global CO2 emissions. However, there is an international agreement to reduce these emissions to zero by the year 2050. To achieve this goal, the EU has decided to implement carbon tax applications for maritime activities, starting in 2025. According to BM reports, carbon trading in the shipping industry is expected to reach a volume of 1 trillion USD.

Strategic Innovative Initiatives LLC (Stratejik Yenilikci Girisimler) has developed an award-winning technology that can generate power onboard ships. Their collapsible VAWT technology, enhanced with active pitching, can produce an average of 3.5 MW of power on ships of average size. The company is currently participating in the UN-supported IMO CARES challenge, aiming to adapt its technology to maritime ships and reduce the impact of shipping on climate change. If the technology is funded it may serve as the “modern sail” of today's modern ships.

Description: Metal fatigue is responsible for 90% of all industrial accidents that are not human-related. The cost of metal fatigue to the global economy is estimated to be a staggering 4% of the world's GDP. However, due to the unpredictable nature of metal fatigue and the time it takes (20-30 years) to develop, Structural Health Monitoring (SHM) is used only for highly critical structures.

An award-winning patented technology developed by FatigPro has revolutionized metal fatigue monitoring by making it practical and user-friendly. The sensor, coupled with IoT technology, can monitor the structural health of airplanes, ships, and trains for 20 years with a small battery that does not need to be replaced. The sensor informs the user as the metal fatigue limit crosses predefined limits, allowing them to schedule predictive maintenance. This way, the user knows how metal fatigue is progressing.

The world's largest aircraft manufacturer company has recommended the Fatigpro technology to the World Standard Committee to be adopted as the standard technology for monitoring the SHM of aircraft. If the technology is funded, it is likely to positively impact sustainability by making ships, airplanes, bridges, and space structures safer while allowing users to maximize utilization of the products.

The technology can be used for detecting corrosion from outside pipelines. Considering the environmental impact of oil pipeline leaks, the technology could be important for monitoring the health state of pipelines as well.
