Elements_of_green_building_implementation
Description:

• All buildings on the IZU campus are designed with extensive joinery to get the maximum
benefit from daylight.

• Thanks to the roof skylights, maximum daylight is taken into the building, and the need for
energy is minimized. Expansive windows, central courtyards, and ceiling lights maximize
daylight.

• The buildings are designed as inner courtyards, and the light facing of the inner and outer
spaces is provided.

• Modern methods have been taken into consideration in terms of facade insulation, and it is
aimed at minimizing heat loss.

• Thanks to the vast four-way opening corridor and facade window joinery, the natural
ventilation possibility is very high.

• An energy manager has been appointed at our university, and he is actively working on the
campus.

• The façade coverings of our education buildings are made of natural stone. Inside, the ceilings
are high, and more than 70% do not have an additional ceiling covering.
