Submission Dates for Fall 2023-2024 Non-Thesis Master's Projects


Non-thesis master's students who complete their study period by the end of the Fall Semester of the 2023-2024 academic year must have their project supervisors submit the project in Word format to the Graduate Education Institute by the end of working hours on Friday, December 22, 2023.

Late submissions will not be accepted.

Non-thesis master’s students who will graduate in the Fall semester must have the Head of the Department submit the plagiarism report and plagiarism petition to the Graduate Education Institute by the latest Friday, January 26, 2024.

Non-thesis master’s students who will graduate in the Fall semester must submit their projects by Friday, January 26, 2024.

Requirements for Completion of Master's Project

  1. The students enrolled in non-thesis master's programs must have at least ten courses (a total of 75 ECTS) together with a minimum GPA of 2.50 to graduate.
  2. In the non-thesis master's program, the project’s title determined by the student together with the supervisor must be stated in the Campus Information System.

     

    Checking the Compliance of the Master's Project with Plagiarism and Thesis Writing Rules

  1. The student and the project supervisor have the primary responsibility for ensuring that projects are prepared in accordance with the Graduate Education Institute Project Writing Guideline.
  2. The project supervisors must email the project to the Thesis Control Team Members. Click here for Thesis Control e-mail addresses.
  1. Projects that do not comply with Project Writing Guideline and/or those similarity reports exceeding 20% must be corrected and resubmitted within five days. The Thesis Control Team Members will not control the project more than three times. All responsibility in this regard belongs to the project advisor and the student. It must be noted that singular similarities must not exceed 1% in the plagiarism report.
  2. The project supervisors must submit the documents of the non-thesis Master’s students who will graduate to the Graduate Education Institute via the ÜBYS system.
  3. External thesis advisors are required to submit the documents of the master students to the Head of the Department.

 

In Case of Project Cannot Be Completed and Failure

  1. Students who fail the project study or do not submit the project within three semesters will be dismissed from the University.

According to the 1st paragraph of Article 14 of the IZU Graduate Education and Training Regulations;

(1) The duration of the master's program with non-thesis is at least two semesters starting from the semester in which the courses related to the program enrolled in the program are given, regardless of whether they are registered for each semester, except for the period spent in scientific preparation, and the program is completed in at most three semesters,
