Our department aims to equip students with the knowledge and skills necessary to understand, analyze, and interpret national and international economic developments.
In our department, in addition to core courses in economics, students have the opportunity to take courses from various disciplines such as business, law, finance, international trade, and Islamic economics. This enables students to broaden their knowledge and develop a comprehensive perspective. We also offer double major and minor opportunities to further encourage interdisciplinary thinking. Moreover, through international exchange programs like Erasmus+, students have the chance to gain valuable global experience.
The Economics undergraduate program is a 240 European Credit Transfer System (ECTS) credit program, with a standard duration of 8 semesters, equivalent to 4 academic years. 1 ECTS corresponds to 30 hours of student workload per semester.
Mission:
The Economics undergraduate program aims to educate graduates who can grasp both the theoretical and practical aspects of economic systems, analyze them, and develop sustainable solutions while considering societal benefit. The program is designed to help graduates gain a critical thinking mindset, analytical competence, and an economic perspective grounded in ethical values. It strives to produce graduates who can track global economic dynamics, are sensitive to local economic issues, and adopt a solution-oriented approach.
Vision:
The Economics undergraduate program envisions becoming an innovative and leading department, recognized and preferred both nationally and internationally, in alignment with its mission.
