16.06.2026

The “2025–2026 Spring Semester Academic General Assembly” of Istanbul Sabahattin Zaim University (İZU) was held with the participation of our Rector Prof. Dr. İsmail Küçük, Vice Rectors Prof. Dr. Erhan İçener and Prof. Dr. Nihat Erdoğmuş, İZU Secretary General Dr. Fatih Hasdemir, faculty deans, and academic staff.

Delivering a presentation during the meeting, İZU Rector Prof. Dr. İsmail Küçük thanked the former rectors and vice rectors who had contributed to the University during their terms of office. In his speech, he stated that this process represents a relay race and that they would strive together to carry the service banner they had inherited even further. Reminding participants that he has served at various levels within İZU for the past nine years and emphasizing that his door is always open to everyone as Rector, Prof. Küçük shared his plans and management philosophy for the next four years under the main headings of vision, academic and administrative goals, a sustainable financial structure, participatory governance, management of internal resources, and a performance-based annual salary increase formula.
Prof. Küçük stated that the University's administrative processes would largely be carried out through commissions and that all decisions would be made through collective wisdom. He also underlined that one of İZU’s fundamental missions is to educate generations that embody the concept of the “good person,” a defining ideal of our civilization.

The Academic General Assembly concluded following the presentation and question-and-answer session with the presentation of certificates to newly appointed faculty members as well as academics who received academic incentives and promotions.
