ÇIKRIKÇI: “OUR MINISTRY WANTS A HOLISTIC PERSPECTIVE”
District Director of National Education Emin Çıkrıkçı stated that the Harezmi Education Model is an important approach supporting students’ multidimensional development. Çıkrıkçı said, “In this project carried out by our Ministry, it is aimed to reveal our children’s multidimensional talents and abilities. With an interdisciplinary approach, the goal is for our students to discover their talents and reflect them in life. Just like in the example of Mimar Sinan; he was not only an architect but also an artist and a competent figure in different fields. We also attach importance to our children gaining such a holistic perspective.”
ANTEPLİOĞLU: “WE MUST RAISE OUR CHILDREN IN A MULTIDIMENSIONAL WAY”
Speaking at the opening of the program, Küçükçekmece District Governor Mustafa Anteplioğlu emphasized that the Harezmi Education Model contributes not only to students’ academic development but also to their multidimensional growth. Anteplioğlu said, “We need to raise our students not only in a one-dimensional but in a multidimensional way. We are in the age of technology and living in a period where perception has surpassed reality. Therefore, it is of great importance for our children to develop different perspectives and strengthen their problem-solving skills. In this sense, the Harezmi Education Model also aims to improve students’ thinking and analytical skills.”
KÜÇÜK: “WE MUST RAISE A GENERATION THAT THINKS ANALYTICALLY AND SOLVES PROBLEMS”
In his speech, IZU Rector Prof. Dr. İsmail Küçük stated that analytical thinking and problem-solving skills are among the areas most needed in education and expressed that the Harezmi Education Model is an important initiative in this regard. Rector Küçük said, “Thinking, analytical, and problem-solving competencies are among the issues we constantly struggle with. We are pleased that such a study has been initiated with an education model of our own and that students are present on our campus. It is of great importance that the children to whom we will entrust our future are prepared in this way.”
BOOTHS AND STAGE ACTIVITIES CONTINUED THROUGHOUT THE DAY
Within the scope of the program, students exhibited the projects they had prepared throughout the year, while projects based on problem-solving, production, and teamwork attracted great interest at the booths set up in the festival area. In the program, which included concerts, folk dances, art activities, and various hands-on workshops, students both had fun and learned.
The Harezmi Education Model, which is based on the stages of scientific research, aims to develop students’ computational thinking, problem-solving, and productivity skills by bringing together science, technology, and social sciences.
