ACAR: WE MADE SIGNIFICANT PROGRESS IN COMPLIANCE WITH REGULATIONS AND ECONOMIC SUSTAINABILITY
In his speech at the ceremony, Prof. Dr. Ahmet Cevat Acar stated: “I have served here as rector for 4 years. I assumed duty during a difficult period when inflation was very high. During this process, we made significant progress in economic sustainability and compliance with regulations. With students coming from higher ranking scores in YKS, there have been improvements in international rankings and the academic incentive system. Today, I am handing over this duty to my colleague and friend İsmail Hocam with peace of mind. I thank İsmail Hocam for his efforts, contributions, dedication, honesty, and sincerity so far. At the same time, I gained a valuable friend during this process. I wish him success in his new duty and hope for a peaceful, healthy, and righteous life with his family.”
KÜÇÜK: I WILL STRIVE TO CARRY THE FLAG FORWARD
Prof. Dr. İsmail Küçük, who was appointed to the rectorate by a Presidential decree, said in his speech at the ceremony: “I have been serving in different roles at İZÜ for 8 years. I worked together with Ahmet Hocam for 4 years. He has been not only a manager to me but also a companion and an elder brother. I ask for his blessing. From now on, if we can contribute even a brick to the success of İZÜ with the support of our colleagues, we will be happy. We will work by observing foundation law. This is a relay race, and we will strive to carry the flag forward. With sincerity, discipline, and team spirit, success will come with Allah’s permission.”
