The Engineering and Ethics Seminar organized by the IZU Department of Industrial Engineering was held in the Abdullah Tivnikli Conference Hall. In the program, where Dr. Üzeyir Pala, faculty member of the Industrial Engineering Department, served as the speaker, topics such as the origins of engineering and ethical concepts, the framework and importance of professional ethics, the points where science and philosophy intersect or diverge, and the consequences of unethical professional practices were discussed.
In his talk, Pala explored questions such as: "Is everything legal necessarily ethical?", "Who is an engineer?", "What is engineering ?", "What are ethics, morality, and virtue, and how do they function at different stages?"
