The program titled “Scientific Pursuits in Addressing the Problem of the Origin of Language,” organized by the Department of Turkish Language Teaching, was held in Seminar Hall 2. Prof. Dr. Caner Kerimoğlu from Dokuz Eylül University attended as the keynote speaker and presented current scientific approaches to the emergence of language. Kerimoğlu emphasized that the origins of language cannot be explained solely through written sources and noted that disciplines such as biology, archaeology, and neuroscience also contribute significantly to this field of research. The conference concluded with a question and answer session attended by students and academics.
