Kemal Yurtnaç, Chair of the Trustee Committee of Türk Hava Kurumu (THK), met with students of İZÜ. During the program, where Yurtnaç shared the good news that three of our students would be offered internship opportunities at THK, three students were also awarded a glider flight experience and another three a paragliding experience through a draw.
The latest guest of the “Hayatımıza Dokunanlar” (Those Who Make an Impact on Our Lives) series organized by SKS Daire Başkanlığı was Vali Kemal Yurtnaç, Chair of the Trustee Committee of Türk Hava Kurumu (THK). The opening speeches of the program, held at İstanbul Sabahattin Zaim Üniversitesi Nizamülmülk Conference Hall, were delivered by Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmet Cevat Acar and SKS Department Head Hülya Şekerci. Şekerci highlighted that under the leadership of Kemal Yurtnaç, the institution has been restructured in areas such as youth projects, search and rescue operations, and raising social awareness. Rector Acar emphasized that young people have much to learn from experienced professionals and thanked Kemal Yurtnaç for his participation.
YURTNAÇ: “İstikbal Göklerdedir” Is Our Motto
Starting his speech by stating that they have adopted Mustafa Kemal Atatürk’s words “İstikbal Göklerdedir” (“The future is in the skies”) as their motto, Yurtnaç provided the audience with information about the structure and current activities of THK. He also shared with İZÜ students the experiences he gained during his service at the Presidency for Turks Abroad and Related Communities, his time as Governor, and now as the Chair of the Trustee Committee of THK. In addition to announcing internship opportunities for three students, the program also featured a draw in which three students won a glider flight and three others a paragliding experience.
