Former Minister of Forestry and Water Affairs Prof. Dr. Veysel Eroğlu Delivered a Seminar on "Understanding Sultan Abdulhamid II" at IZU
Prof. Dr. Veysel Eroğlu, former Minister of Forestry and Water Affairs, delivered a seminar titled “Understanding Abdulhamid II” at our university.
Organized by IZUSEM and held in the Seminar Hall-1 of the Historic Building, the event was attended by IZU Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmet Cevat Acar, Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Erhan İçener, Secretary General Dr. Fatih Hasdemir, as well as academic and administrative staff and students.
During the seminar, the life, political approaches, and historical legacy of Ottoman Sultan Abdulhamid II were discussed in detail. Prof. Dr. Eroğlu shared insights into the Sultan’s knowledge and experience in state governance acquired since his education years, the historical perspective he gained during his travels in Europe, and significant anecdotes concerning key developments of the period.
