Turkish Red Crescent Volunteers Gathered at İZÜ
The Turkish Red Crescent's Küçükçekmece Branch brought together İZÜ students and Red Crescent volunteers on our campus. The "Student Table" event, held at the Historical Museum Hall, gathered participants around the theme of kindness.
The event was attended by Istanbul Deputy Governor Mustafa Kaya, İZÜ Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmet Cevat Acar, Vice Rector Prof. Dr. İbrahim Güney, Red Crescent Board Member Emre Koç, Turkish Red Crescent Küçükçekmece Branch President Lawyer Fatih Kerimoğlu, and many volunteers.
KAYA: RED CRESCENT HAS ALWAYS BEEN BY THE SIDE OF SOCIETY
In his opening speech, Istanbul Deputy Governor Mustafa Kaya emphasized the Turkish Red Crescent’s strong stance in social solidarity. Kaya said, "The Red Crescent is a longstanding institution that has always stood by society. Especially in recent years, it has increased its efforts to stand by both the oppressed and the victims. The assistance provided through volunteers forms the meaningful dimension of these efforts."
ACAR: OUR PRIORITY IS TO RAISE OUR STUDENTS WITH THE UNDERSTANDING OF VOLUNTEERISM
İZÜ Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmet Cevat Acar spoke about the importance the university places on volunteer activities, saying: "We are a foundation university, and such activities are very valuable to us. Spreading the awareness of volunteerism and ensuring that our students are raised with this understanding is among our priorities. Our differences are our wealth. Volunteering is a powerful value that holds this diversity together."
KOÇ: VOLUNTEERING IS A PART OF OUR LIVES
Turkish Red Crescent Board Member Emre Koç pointed out the transformative power of volunteering in personal development. He shared that he had participated in volunteer activities during his student years, stating: "I also encountered volunteering when I was a student. I started this journey with a student movement in Levent. Volunteering is a part of our lives."

Lawyer Fatih Kerimoğlu, President of the Turkish Red Crescent Küçükçekmece Branch, emphasized the importance of social assistance activities carried out with young volunteers, saying: "If life is a movie, we are determined to play our role in the best way possible. We are writing beautiful stories in the sky."
