Orhan parlak, the Head of the search and Rescue Training Unit of the Humanitarian Relief Foundation (İHH), visited Istanbul Sabahattin Zaim University. During the visit, the collaboration and support processes for the search and rescue teams planned to be established at our university were discussed.
In the meeting hosted by Vice Rector Prof. Dr. İbrahim Güney, Dean of the Faculty of Sports Sciences Prof. Dr. Mustafa Zahit Serarslan, and Assistant Dean Dr.Abdüsselam Köse, the necessary steps for rapid and effective intervention in disasters were evaluated. Discussions were held on potential collaboratins regarding the training, equipment procurement, and field applications required to establish a search and rescue team within the university. İHH search and Rescue officials expressed their readiness to provide support in raising disaster awareness and preparing for possible emergency situations.
