The program titled "In the 837th Year of the Glorious Conquest: The Land of Witnesses, Palestine," held at Istanbul Sabahattin Zaim University, drew attention to the ongoing humanitarian crisis in Palestine. Organized by the İZÜ Islamic Studies Club and the Ahdimiz Kudüs Platform, the event took place in the Abdullah Tivnikli Conference Hall. The program began with a recitation of the Quran, followed by an opening speech from Prof. Dr. Hasan Kâmil Yılmaz, Dean of the Islamic Studies Department at İZÜ.
Dean Yılmaz emphasized the need for increased anger against the oppression in Palestine, stating, "The fire in our hearts grows stronger every day. A brutality leading to the death of children continues. We are concerned about the normalization of this situation. Our country has always stood by the oppressed and will continue to bear this responsibility. Our hope is for Israel's cruel stance to end and for this bloody process to cease. Countries in the European Union, especially the United States, must take action to stop Israel. We, too, must increase our anger against Israel. Our anger needs to grow to counter this oppressive attitude."
"We are praying for the bloodshed to stop."
Writer Bülent Deniz, who conveyed the spirit of Jerusalem and the suffering endured by oppressed Muslims in Palestine, drew attention to Israel's attacks. He stated, "A year has passed, and our oppressed brothers and sisters are under attack not only from Zionist Israel but also from global colonizers. They are in need of a morsel of bread and a sip of water. By slaughtering innocent children, they have chosen a dark path of submission. This is not just a struggle for land; it is a great atrocity unfolding before our eyes. We have a historical responsibility to stand by the oppressed. We are praying for the end of Israel's cruel stance and for the bloodshed to stop."
