Entrepreneurs Meet with IZÜ Students

The conference titled "The Future of Entrepreneurship, E-Commerce, and Digital Marketing," organized by our E-Commerce Club, has begun. In the opening remarks, IZÜ Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmet Cevat Acar emphasized the changing dynamics of global trade and the importance of digital literacy, as many entrepreneurs gathered with our students for the event.
The conference titled "The Future of Entrepreneurship, E-Commerce, and Digital Marketing," organized by the E-Commerce Club under the Health, Culture, and Sports Department of Istanbul Sabahattin Zaim University, was held at the Abdullah Tivnikli Conference Hall. The opening speech was given by Emre Koca, founder of MentorX, who shared his entrepreneurial journey and the story behind MentorX, highlighting the innovations that digitalization brings to the business world. Koca stated, "The opportunities offered in e-commerce present a significant chance for students. We see how marketing stands out. The roles of different actors in this process are crucial. I believe we will achieve successful projects together."
REKTOR ACAR: INCREASE YOUR DIGITAL LITERACY.
In his opening speech, IZÜ Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmet Cevat Acar discussed globalization and e-commerce. He noted that with the acceleration of digitalization, entrepreneurs need to develop new business models, stating, "We are in an era where history is rapidly unfolding. Economic activities are conducted on a global scale. Communication and transportation have expanded beyond national borders. Smart technologies have swiftly entered our lives. Transportation has become widespread, efficient, and fast. As capital accumulation increases, national markets become insufficient. If more functional products can be obtained at better prices abroad, people chase after them. This brings both opportunities and threats. Supply chain management will be addressed more comprehensively, and marketing and e-commerce applications have gained significant importance in today’s competitive global world. Israel's recent use of smartphones in Lebanon is the latest example of the threats in the digital world. We are experiencing a radical transformation together. Artificial intelligence is now writing for us, even coding. E-commerce offers immense opportunities for young people to gain their first entrepreneurial experiences. My advice to the youth is to enhance your experiences in digital literacy."
Entrepreneurs Shared Their Inspiring Stories.
Following Rector Acar's speech, the program moved on to its first panel. Moderated by Tuger Akkaya, the panel featured İnanç Ayar, Ömer Seyfettin Şener, and İsa Korkmaz, who shared their experiences on "Entrepreneurships Shaping the Future." The three entrepreneurs provided inspiring examples of how digital transformation and new technologies offer strategic opportunities in the business world.
In the second session, moderated by Emre Koca, Furkan Talay, Sedat Akdemir, and Batuhan Kızıl discussed "Comparing Organic Traffic and Paid Traffic in E-Export." The panelists shared insights with the participants on how traffic management in e-commerce and digital marketing can be effectively developed through the right strategies.
