Guidance Teachers Gathered at İZÜ


Guidance teachers working in the Küçükçekmece region gathered at İZÜ to set their strategies for the 2024-2025 academic year. The meeting discussed various issues aimed at enhancing the quality of guidance services, including the prevention of violence in schools.

Hosted by Istanbul Sabahattin Zaim University (İZÜ), the "2024-2025 Academic Year Guidance Teachers Meeting" was organized in collaboration with the Küçükçekmece District National Education Directorate, the Küçükçekmece Guidance and Research Center, and the İZÜ Corporate Communication and Promotion Department. Approximately 250 guidance teachers from the Küçükçekmece district participated in the event, which began with the National Anthem and a moment of silence. The meeting was also attended by İZÜ Vice Rector and Dean of the Faculty of Educational Sciences, Prof. Dr. İbrahim Güney, Küçükçekmece Special Education and Guidance Branch Manager Paşali Beşli, and Küçükçekmece Guidance and Research Center Director Tuncay Sabak.

GÜNEY: GUIDANCE SERVICES ARE VERY IMPORTANT IN EDUCATION

Expressing his pleasure in hosting the event, İZÜ Vice Rector Prof. Dr. İbrahim Güney emphasized the significance of guidance in education. Güney stated, "The services provided by the Guidance and Research Center (RAM) are extremely important. You all carry out this service with great dedication. I congratulate each and every one of you. We take pride in collaborating on projects with our faculty members, administrators, and other institutions working in the field of guidance and supporting them. We always support such activities."

PREVENTION OF VIOLENCE IN SCHOOLS WAS ALSO DISCUSSED

Küçükçekmece Special Education and Guidance Branch Director Paşali Beşli and Küçükçekmece Guidance and Research Center Director Tuncay Sabak expressed their gratitude to Prof. Dr. Güney in their speeches. During the program, the guidance and special education activities for the 2023-2024 academic year were evaluated. Presentations continued with information about the activities to be carried out by the Guidance and Research Center (RAM) in the 2024-2025 academic year. The agenda of the program included topics such as reviewing counseling programs, planned activities for the prevention of violence in schools, psychosocial protection and crisis intervention services, and evaluation of special education activities.
