A Mevlid-i Nebi program was organized at İZÜ.

A meaningful program was held at İZÜ as part of the Mawlid al-Nabi Week, marking the 1,453rd anniversary of the birth of Prophet Muhammad (pbuh).

The event took place in the Abdullah Tivnkli Conference Hall at Istanbul Sabahattin Zaim University, attended by our Rector, Prof. Dr. Ahmet Cevat Acar, as well as a significant number of academic and administrative staff and students. The program began with the recitation of the Quran by Hafız Necip Fazıl Belge, an Arabic Preparatory student and winner of the Quran recitation competition.

In his speech, Rector Prof. Dr. Acar emphasized the importance of the Mawlid tradition in Islamic culture. He highlighted its sociological value, stating: “The Mawlid is an important text that conveys the fundamental tenets of Islam and the exemplary life of the Prophet Muhammad to broad audiences. It is particularly valuable in passing on these teachings to younger generations and enriching their spiritual lives. Such programs will not only enhance our spiritual world but also strengthen our unity and solidarity in the face of challenges.”
