IZU's 10th Graduation Ceremony Held with Great Enthusiasm

Istanbul Sabahattin Zaim University held its 2023-2024 academic year graduation ceremony.

The ceremony, held at the IZU Halkalı central campus, saw the attendance of Minister of Trade Prof. Dr. Ömer Bolat, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of İlim Yayma Foundation Necmeddin Bilal Erdoğan, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Istanbul Sabahattin Zaim University Özkan Göksal, Rector of Istanbul Sabahattin Zaim University Prof. Dr. Ahmet Cevat Acar, Vice Rectors Prof. Dr. İbrahim Güney, Prof. Dr. İsmail Küçük, Prof. Dr. Erhan İçener, along with academics and administrative staff.

The unforgettable event at the IZU Stadium began with the Turkish National Anthem and a moment of silence, followed by a recitation from the Quran after families and graduating students had taken their seats.

In his opening speech, IZU Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmet Cevat Acar addressed the eager graduates and their families, emphasizing the importance of being a part of IZU and its educational quality. Acar offered advice for the future and highlighted the significance of the day, saying, "I thank our esteemed professors and families who have contributed to the success of our students. I congratulate our dear graduates on their graduation. May your path be clear and your successes continuous."

Chairman of the Board of Trustees, Özkan Göksal, began his speech by congratulating the graduates. He noted the rise of the İlim Yayma Foundation in the fields of science and education, stating, "Our university, established 14 years ago, has made the most of this period. We will continue to elevate the quality of our university, which is among the best educational institutions in our country."

Necmeddin Bilal Erdoğan, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the İlim Yayma Foundation, shared his excitement and pride, saying, "As the İlim Yayma Foundation, we will continue to work to grow our cornerstone university, which has been developing excellent individuals for over 70 years. I wish all our students success."

Minister of Trade Prof. Dr. Ömer Bolat, who graced the ceremony with his presence, also inspired the graduates with his remarks. Bolat said, "As a former academician at Istanbul Sabahattin Zaim University, seeing our graduates today makes me proud."

Following the speeches, gifts were presented to the dignitaries. After the gift presentations and photo sessions, the top-ranking students took the stage. Gifts were given to the top students of each department, and plaques were awarded to those who ranked highest, doubling the joy.

The moments when the diplomas were awarded were truly memorable. As each department was called to the stage one by one, the families experienced a separate sense of pride. As the countdown for the graduation celebration began, the entire hall held its breath. The graduation joy reached its peak when the students tossed their caps into the air.
