IZU Doctoral Programs
Academic Training Scholarship
Istanbul Sabahattin Zaim University
Will provide Academic Training Scholarships to 15 doctoral students.
Application Requirements
- Apply for a Doctoral Program at IZU,
- Not be employed in any job and provide documentation for it,
- Be willing to participate full-time in the university's educational, teaching, and research activities,
- Have a minimum score of 80 from ALES, 156 from GRE, or 590 from GMAT. Foreign students are not required to have ALES, GRE, or GMAT scores; however, if they have GRE or GMAT scores, these will be converted to ALES scores for evaluation,
- Have a minimum undergraduate GPA of 3.00 out of 4.00 and a minimum graduate GPA of 3.50 out of 4.00,
- For programs in Turkish, the candidate must have a minimum score of 70 from YDS/YÖKDİL or an equivalent international foreign language score accepted by ÖSYM in the relevant foreign language. For programs conducted partially or entirely in a foreign language, the candidate must have a minimum score of 80 from YDS/YÖKDİL or an equivalent international foreign language score accepted by ÖSYM in the relevant foreign language.
Scholarship Details, Cash Amount, Number of Recipients, and Duration
- Coverage: Tuition fee and meal fee
- Mandatory General Health Insurance
- Accommodation and Meal Fee: If students stay in IZU Guesthouses or dormitories affiliated with the Founding Foundation
- Scholarship Amount: 25,000 TL
- Number of Recipients: A total of 15 doctoral students, with 10 from the sciences and 5 from the social sciences
- Programs: All Doctoral Programs
- Funding Sources: Scholarships will be provided by Istanbul Sabahattin Zaim University and the İlim Yayma Foundation
- Duration: For the normal duration of the study (4 years)
- Conditions: To use the Academic Training Scholarship, the student must be accepted into the applied program and enroll in the relevant program.
Selection Criteria
For Turkish Citizens:
- 25% Scientific Exam
- 30% GPA
- 10% Language Score
- 10% ALES
- 25% Interview
For International Students:
- 35% Scientific Exam
- 35% GPA
- 30% Interview
- Selection Committee: Scholars will be selected by a committee consisting of two academicians determined by IZU and one person determined by the İlim Yayma Foundation.
How to Apply
Candidates who wish to apply for the scholarship must send their undergraduate and graduate transcripts, language certificate, ALES/GRE/GMAT certificate, and an SGK document showing that they are not employed in any workplace to ayb@izu.edu.tr by the end of business hours (17:00 Istanbul time) on August 7, 2024.
