The “Economy 360” program, organized by the Islamic Economics and Finance Club, was held at the Prof. Dr. Fuat Sezgin Meeting Hall under the title “Strong State Strong Market: A Dilemma or an Equation?” In his speech, İZÜ faculty member Prof. Dr. Yusuf Dinç, who used the expression “If you do not have an economic paradigm, you cannot create great prosperity,” explained the economic processes of states from past to present with examples. Prof. Dr. Servet Bayındır, Vice Chair of the Presidential Economic Policies Board and Board Member of Vakıf Katılım, stated that the concepts of a strong state and a strong market can form a balancing element with the right policies rather than being a dilemma. İZÜ faculty member Prof. Dr. Tarık Özkul also drew attention to Turkey’s potential to become a superpower, saying, “We should not be the ones who copy technology, but those who produce it.”
