Istanbul Sabahattin Zaim University's Faculty of Education has earned the right to use the Turkey Qualifications Framework (TYÇ) logo on the diplomas of its Arabic Language Teaching, English Language Teaching, Special Education Teaching, Primary School Teaching, and Turkish Language Teaching undergraduate programs.

Starting from the 2023-2024 Academic Year, the TYÇ logo, which signifies high standards and quality in education and employment both domestically and internationally, will be featured on the diploma supplements, graduation certificates, and transcripts of graduates from these programs.

What is TYÇ?

The Turkey Qualifications Framework (TYÇ) is a national qualifications framework designed to be compatible with the European Qualifications Framework (EQF). It outlines the principles for all qualifications acquired through formal, non-formal, and informal learning, including vocational, general, and academic education and training programs from primary, secondary, and higher education.

TYÇ provides an integrated structure for classifying qualifications in Turkey, ensuring quality assurance across all educational levels and learning pathways, including primary, secondary, and higher education.

Designed in alignment with the EQF, TYÇ classifies all qualifications acquired through various learning paths into eight levels. These levels are based on the complexity and difficulty of the qualifications, with Level 1 being the simplest and Level 8 the most complex. Each level is defined by minimum common learning outcomes in terms of knowledge, skills, and competencies, known as "level descriptors," which form the core elements of TYÇ's design.

The level descriptors provide the foundation for other structures and tools within TYÇ, ensuring a cohesive and comprehensive framework for all qualifications in Turkey.
