The Late Prof. Dr. Sabahattin Zaim Commemorated

Commemorating and Understanding Prof. Dr. Sabahattin Zaim: An Event Held at Istanbul Sabahattin Zaim University

To honor and understand the esteemed "beautiful person" Prof. Dr. Sabahattin Zaim, who devoted himself to the path of knowledge and wisdom, an event was organized in collaboration with the Esenler Municipality Youth and Sports Services Directorate on Monday, December 4, 2023. The event featured Prof. Dr. Sedat MURAT, one of his students, as a speaker.

The "Sabahattin Zaim Commemoration Event," organized by the Faculty of Sports Sciences to coincide with the week of our esteemed professor's passing, saw participation from all class levels.

The opening speech of the event was delivered by the Dean of the Faculty of Sports Sciences, Prof. Dr. Zahid SERARSLAN, who emphasized that Prof. Dr. Sabahattin Zaim should be taken as an example in the matter of human development.

As part of the program, Prof. Dr. Sedat Murat, who was one of his closest and most successful students and the then Rector of Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart University, currently serving as Vice Rector of Istanbul University, shared many insights about Prof. Dr. Sabahattin Zaim with the participants.

In his speeches, Sedat MURAT described Sabahattin Zaim as a perfect human being, patient, well-intentioned, an Ottoman gentleman, and someone who should be taken as a role model.

The event concluded with the distribution of Prof. Dr. Sabahattin Zaim's book "Bir Ömre Bedel" to students, followed by a book signing session with Prof. Dr. Sedat MURAT, and a group photo.

We extend our gratitude to the esteemed Prof. Dr. Sedat Murat for taking the time to visit our university and helping us understand Prof. Dr. Sabahattin Zaim, the teacher of teachers, better. We remember Prof. Dr. Sabahattin Zaim with respect and gratitude.
