The Selection Process

Candidates who have successfully completed their application are subject to conformity check. Candidates who do not provide "Minimum Requirements" in their application are notified via e-mail. Only candidates who meet the minimum requirements are considered.

Evaluation of Applications

The cumulative academic grade point average of the student at the time of application is converted into a percentage point system and evaluated.

The grade of the student during the application is automatically taken to the Erasmus Application Form via the Campus Information System.

The minimum grade point average to participate in the Mobility is 2:20 / 4.00 - 72/100 for undergraduate students and 2.50 / 4.00 – 75/100

Undergraduate students who do not have a cumulative grade point average cannot apply.

Graduate students who do not have a cumulative grade point average can apply to the application system by submitting the graduation grade of the previous education level.

Applicants can take the Erasmus + Language Proficiency Exam organized by the Foreign Languages Coordinatorship.

The students can apply with the prep class completion score at B2 level which they have received from the Foreign Languages Coordinator.

The Erasmus + Language Proficiency Exam consists of Grammar, Listening, Reading and Writing. (Speaking exam is not included.)

IZU Erasmus + Language Proficiency Exam is valid for 2 years.

In addition, candidates can apply with YDS, YÖKDİL, TOEFL-IBT-CBT-PBT and IELTS scores to determine the foreign language level. For TOEFL and IELTS documents to be evaluated, a validity period of 2 years is accepted for YDS and for YÖKDİL a validity period of 5 years.

At IZU, the foreign language threshold required for participation in mobility was determined to be at least B2 level of 70 points.

After the arithmetic average of the academic level score and foreign language level score, +15 additional points are given to the children of Martyr or Veteran.

*According to Article 21 of the Anti-Terror Law No. 3713, dated 12/4/1991, as well as the spouses and children of combat veterans and their spouses and children and martial martyrs, they were also in accordance with Article 7 of the Decree Law No. 667 of 23 July 2016 on the date of July 15, 2016, with the coup attempt and act of terrorism, the spouses and children of the people who lost their lives due to the actions or the civilians who are discharged and their spouses and children are prioritized if they apply for Erasmus + student mobility.

This criteria will be used in the evaluation of the 2018 contract number applications.

Students who have proof of disability documents will be given an additional score of +10.

Within the scope of the Social Services Law No. 2828, students who have been decided for protection, care or shelter are given an additional score of +10. For prioritization, the student must upload a letter to the Ministry of Family and Social Policies about the protection, care or shelter decision in accordance with the Law no. 2828.

Students who have previously attended Erasmus for studies or traineeship, are given -10 points reduction for each activity.

Students who want to do an internship in their country of origin, acceptance letter from a company in the country of citizenship will give you -10 points reduction in the assessment.

Will be applied to the students who are selected for Erasmus mobility within the scope of the 2018 contract numbered project and who do not participate in the information meetings and trainings organized by the university without showing excuses.

After the applications are evaluated in the University Erasmus + Commission, according to the quotas stated in the announcement of the application, the selected and spare candidates are determined.

The list of candidates selected as selected, spare and not selected is published in the announcements section of the university website, in the Erasmus + Coordinators application advertisements section and on the boards, including the scoring during the evaluation.

Participants who have chosen to take part in mobility but refuse to participate should notify Erasmus + Institution Coordinator with a waiver.

In the event of a waiver, it is passed to the candidates on the spare list.
