Erasmus+, with Partner Countries Student mobility for studies
Erasmus+ Student Mobility for Studies enables students enrolled in our university to complete a part of their education at the higher education institution (which has an inter-institutional agreement with IZU) in Erasmus+ Program Countries.
Who can apply?
Bachelor Degree, Master Degree and Phd Students from Ez-Zitouna University, studying in Islamic Science Area .
Minimum requirements
In order to participate in the activity, students must meet the following minimum requirements:
- Full-Time Student of Ez-Zitouna University Faculty of Islamic Science.
- To be a Full-Time Student
- Must be enrolled in an education program and also there must be enough courses which students can register before the graduation.
- Students who meet the requirements of the academic grade point average,
- The cumulative academic grade point average of undergraduate students is at least 11/20.
- The cumulative academic grade point average of Master Degree students is at least 12,5/20.
- The cumulative academic grade point average of Phd students is at least 12,5/20.
- If the applicant has taken advantage of Erasmus+ or Lifelong Learning Programme before, the new mobility cannot exceed 12 months in total with the previous mobility. The total operating period cannot exceed 12 months.
Ineligible Applications
Eligibility check is performed after all applications are received. Ineligible submissions are as follows.
- Non-full-time students, students with a course load of less than 1 semester courses per semester in 1 academic half-year, (students with 1 or 2 courses or at the graduation stage),
- students enrolled in undergraduate programs where the academic GPA is not formed yet,
- students enrolled in Master and Phd programs where the academic GPA is not formed yet,
- Students who are expected to be in the 1st year in the period of mobility,
- If the applicant has taken advantage of Erasmus+ or Lifelong Learning Programme before, and the new mobility exceeds 12 months in total with the previous mobility. The total operating period cannot exceed 12 months
How to Apply
Applications are announced by Erasmus + Institution Coordinators Office in certain periods.
Application announcements are included in the "Student Mobility Application Announcements" page.
Online Application
Online Applications are received by Istanbul Sabahattin Zaim University via the Erasmus + Online Application System. (http://applyerasmus.izu.edu.t)
If you have applied before, you can access the application form by logging into the application system.
Documents needed for application
- Online application form (After the online application is completed, the "Application Form" should be printed out from online system and signed)
- Latest photo must attached to the form
- Latest transcript which shows the Cumulative Grade Point (CGPA)
- Transcript must be in English (If English Transkript is not avaible, It can be Arabic)
- Transcript must be stamped and signed by the responsible department/person.
- Disability certificate (if necessary)
- Certificate must be taken from Tunisian government.
- Passport
- Student certificate (English)
Applicant must upload all these documents to the online application system (http://applyerasmus.izu.edu.tr) when IZU Erasmus office check the documents If your application is appropriate, your application status in the system will be updated as "Office Approved" by Erasmus Office employees.

Selection criterions, which will be using to determine applications for Student Mobility, are defined below.

Erasmus+ Mobility with grant
In the scope of Erasmus+, selected students will be able to have grant during their mobility to cover their living costs. The Erasmus+ Grant is a contribution, may not be able to enough to cover all costs (visa, accommodation, transportation and living costs). In this case, applicant should cover the remaining expenses

Erasmus+ Mobility without Grant
Students which are provides minimum requirements can chose with the without grant mobility.
Even though selected students with grant or without grant, will not pay any of education fee, registration or examination fee or for library.
Additional Grants For Special Needs Owners
Erasmus+ promotes students who are disadvantageous to increase their participation. Erasmus+ program can provide guidance, greetings, physical access, pedagogical and technical support to the disabled students (physical and mental disability) and their companion with additional grant support.
