In cooperation with CIGA (Center for Islam and Global Affairs), at Istanbul Sabahattin Zaim University, ODIHR (OSCE) will convene a one-day workshop to explore the topic of addressing intolerance against Muslims through education. The workshop will be a chance to present the results of the report on the existing teaching materials and the current key features and gaps in this regard. It will also serve as a platform for presentation and discussion of ODIHR’s current work on the drafting of the new teaching materials as well as an opportunity to explore diverse types of manifestations of intolerance and discrimination against Muslims that occur in education. Finally, the workshop will explore best practices in terms of efficient policy level responses and solutions. The workshop will bring together researchers as well as graduate students, educators, civil society representatives, and academics interested in the topic.

As an outcome of the workshop, selected policy recommendations authored by the participants will be published as soft and hard copies by CIGA in its publication series on Islamophobia and Muslim Minorities Studies (IMMS).
