Specially Digitalised (Special Learning Disability) ERASMUS Project
With the support of the National Agency and coordinated by the Istanbul Provincial Directorate of National Education, the multiplication meeting for the ERASMUS Project titled "Specially Digitalised (Special Learning Disability)" with the project number 2020-1-TR01-KA226-SCH-098336, in which Istanbul Sabahattin Zaim University is a partner, took place on 05.09.2023. Academic staff from our university, project partners from abroad, and teachers from the Ministry of National Education attended the multiplication meeting.
The goal of the project is to develop a digitally supported educational platform for students aged 6-9 diagnosed with special learning disabilities. The multiplication meeting was conducted both face-to-face and simultaneously online. The opening speeches were made by our Vice Rector, Prof. Dr. İbrahim GÜNEY. Following this, Mr. Özer TOPLU, the coordinator on behalf of the Provincial Directorate of National Education, provided information about the project introduction and results. Then, our university faculty member Dr. Nüket AFAT gave a presentation on the target audience of the project, children diagnosed with special learning disabilities. The last presentation before noon was given by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Aras BOZKURT from Anadolu University, who introduced the digital platform prepared for children with special learning disabilities.
In the afternoon sessions, the Romanian team, one of the project partners, presented on teacher training and professional development. Following this, the Bulgarian team gave a presentation titled "Self-Esteem and Socialization" within the scope of children with special needs. Finally, the Portuguese team shared satisfaction surveys of students with special learning disabilities who tested the digital platform during the Transnational Project Meeting held in Portugal.
After presenting certificates to the project partners and participants, the multiplication meeting concluded.
