Istanbul Sabahattin Zaim University (IZU) and International Institute of Islamic Thought (IIIT) are offering two PhD scholarships on Extremism and Far Right. ​The scholarship will cover tuition fees at IZU and 3000 TL monthly stipend for four years.

Istanbul Sabahattin Zaim University (IZU) and International Institute of Islamic Thought (IIIT) are offering two PhD scholarships on Extremism and Far Right.

The scholarship will cover tuition fees at IZU and 3000 TL monthly stipend for four years.


Application requirements

  1. Undergraduate and/or Master’s degree in Political Science, Public Administration and/or International Relations.
  2. Official transcripts that contain all courses taken and grades for each course completed for each degree obtained.
  3. English Language proficiency certificate. Minimum 80 points in YDS, YÖKDİL or its equivalency in an international examination recognized by the Turkish Council of Higher Education (YÖK).
  4. Graduate Education Entrance Examination score. Minimum 80 points in ALES or its equivalency in an international examination recognized by the Turkish Council of Higher Education (YÖK).
  5. Two academic reference letters
  6. Statement of purpose (in English, max. 2000 words)
  7. Successful candidates will write their PhD thesis on Far Right.
  8. Successful candidates will be enrolled in a PhD program in Political Science and International Relations (English) at Istanbul Sabahattin Zaim University.

 

Applications will be made online via Istanbul Sabahattin Zaim University online application website (https://apply.izu.edu.tr/) The deadline for applications is September 27, 2020. There will be a written exam and interviews on September 30, 2020, at 10.00 am in the Graduate Education Institute, Istanbul Sabahattin Zaim University. International student applications will be evaluated on paper and shortlisted applicants will be interviewed on September 29, 2020. Successful candidates will be announced on October 1, 2020.
