
Born in Kastamonu-Taşköprü in 1960, Ahmet Cevat Acar graduated from AÜ Faculty of Business Administration (1980). He completed his master's degree in IU Faculty of Business Administration, "Personnel Management and Industrial Relations", and his doctorate in IU Institute of Social Sciences, "Business and Personnel Management-Organization" department. Acar became an assistant professor in 1994 and an associate professor in 1998 at IU Faculty of Business Administration, Department of Human Resources Management, and became a professor in 2007. He carried out training, research, consultancy, publications and projects in the fields of Human Resources Management, Management-Organization and Organizational Behavior. Prof. In addition to his academic studies, Acar has various commission and board memberships/chairmanships, faculty board and faculty executive board membership, IU Institute of Business Economics (IIE) Deputy Director and Board of Directors membership, education coordinator, IU strategic planning board member, career center Board member, high school He served as undergraduate program chair, member of the MoLSS Occupational Health and Safety Strategy Document Advisory Board, Vice Rector of Istanbul University (2010-2012), and served as the President of the Turkish Academy of Sciences (TÜBA) for two terms between August 2012 and May 2019.
