Assessment and Grading

At the end of each semester, at least one midterm exam and a final exam are scheduled on the dates specified in the academic calendar. Teaching staff may consider assignments, projects, laboratory and similar works as a midterm examination. The final examination is done in writing.

All exam results of the student and semester work are taken into account while the semester grade is given. Final examinations are held at the end of the relevant semester. The excuse of the students who did not attend the final exam is evaluated by the Board of the Institute of Social Sciences.

The instructors announce the weights of the semester work and final exam to the students at the beginning of each semester via the syllabus.
