Goals


The Bachelor’s Degree Program at the department of computer engineering is a 240 ECTS credits, 4 year program composed of eight semesters, each of which has a 30 ECTS workload. One ECTS equals to 30 hours of student workload per semester.

The department of Computer Engineering aims to educate technically competent and socially conscious engineers who will design and implement information and computing systems mandated by the ever growing and diversified automation needs of the contemporary societies. The department offers a balanced undergraduate program which covers computer software, computer hardware, and computer networks with a strong background on mathematics. In addition to Calculus, Physics, English, Economics, and Industrial Management courses, students may also take non-technical electives.

Aims:

The objective is to contribute training of highly qualified individuals in computer engineering and sciences whose demands have been increasing day by day in our country. The program, in addition to fundamental engineering courses, offers social sciences courses, such as business management courses. In the 4th year, students have a chance to concentrate on a specific area within CE. Technical courses are supported with practical work which enables students to concretize their designs.

Objectives:

Our aim is to educate engineers who can transform the information to social and industrial benefit, who can follow the developments in the global area and has the courage for competition.
